Joining the Stroud Association Of Schools
Membership is for schools rather than individual members of staff.
From September 2025, membership will run from the beginning of September to the end of the academic year.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is charged at the following rate:
0.1% of that year's 'lump sum'. In 2025, all schools paid £154.10 (being 0.1% of the school's lump sum award of £154,100.00)
Added to this is the cost of £2 per pupil - based on the latest, published figures from the Local Authority.
The average school in SAS has 141 pupils and their subscription is calculated as follows:
141 x £2 = £282 Pupil element
+ £154.10 Lump Sum contribution
Total £436.10
The SAS Finance office generates invoices which are emailed out to schools. Payment in by 'internal transfer'.
Subscription entitles a representative of the school - usually the Head Teacher - to Briefings and Conferences.
There are times when the invitation is extended to other school representative, such as Deputies, or Governors as appropriate.
NEW FOR 2025 -
Schools with Executive Heads are invited to contact the finance office. We will create an alternative invoice, and calculate a new subscription, including Membership for both schools based solely on the lump sum and pupil numbers for the larger school.
The smaller school (pupil numbers) joins for free!
Gloucestershire Association of Primary Heads:
We usually undertake to invoice at the same time for membership to GAPH. This subscription is passed directly on to GAPH on your behalf. Schools wishing to access the services GAPH provides, whilst discontinuing their membership of SAS, must find another way to pay.
Please complete the request below if you would like to find out more.
